1. 3D Digital Scanning

   3D digital scanners allow our team to capture detailed images of the teeth, gums, bone, and surrounding oral structures. This technology helps with treatment planning for dental implants, bone grafting, gum surgery, and other periodontal procedures. By using detailed digital information, our team can better assess the condition of your mouth and explain your treatment options clearly.

   Treatments used for: dental implants, bone grafting, gum grafting, periodontal flap surgery, guided tissue regeneration, and treatment planning.

2. Guided Biofilm Therapy

   Guided Biofilm Therapy is used to support periodontal maintenance and gum health by helping remove harmful bacterial biofilm from the teeth and gumline. Biofilm can contribute to inflammation, gum disease, bleeding gums, and deeper periodontal pockets. This technology allows for a more targeted and comfortable cleaning experience, especially for patients who require ongoing supportive periodontal therapy.

   Treatments used for: periodontal maintenance, oral cleanings, scaling and root planing, gum disease management, and supportive periodontal therapy.

3. Piezo Technology

   Piezo technology uses gentle ultrasonic vibrations to clean around the teeth and below the gumline. It can be used during periodontal therapy to help remove tartar and bacteria from areas that are difficult to access with traditional cleaning alone. This supports the treatment of early gum disease and helps reduce the risk of progression to more advanced periodontal problems.

   Treatments used for: non-surgical gum therapy, scaling and root planing, periodontal maintenance, and cleaning around deeper gum pockets.

4. Dental Laser Therapy

   Dental laser therapy may be used as part of non-surgical gum therapy to reduce bacteria beneath the gums and support periodontal healing. Laser treatment can be helpful in managing gum inflammation and improving the health of the tissues surrounding the teeth. It is often used alongside other periodontal treatments, including scaling, root planing, and maintenance therapy.

   Treatments used for: soft tissue management, laser bacterial reduction, gum disease therapy, periodontal maintenance, and supportive care after periodontal treatment.

5. ViziLite PRO Oral Cancer Screening

   Oral cancer screening is an important part of comprehensive oral health care. At The Perio Centre, we use ViziLite PRO technology to assist with the detection of abnormal tissue changes that may not always be easy to see with the eye alone. This screening is non-invasive and helps our team identify areas that may require closer monitoring, further evaluation, or biopsy.

   Treatments used for: oral cancer screening, oral pathology assessments, soft tissue evaluations, and routine periodontal examinations.

6. Emdogain

   Emdogain is a regenerative material used in certain periodontal procedures to help support the rebuilding of tissues around the teeth. In cases involving bone loss or attachment loss from periodontal disease, Emdogain may be used during guided tissue regeneration or periodontal flap surgery to encourage the regeneration of key supporting structures, including periodontal ligament, connective tissue, cementum, and bone.

   Treatments used for: guided tissue regeneration and regenerative periodontal procedures.

7. Sedation Options

   We understand that many patients feel anxious about periodontal treatment. Sedation options, including nitrous oxide and oral sedation, may be available for certain procedures to help patients feel calmer and more comfortable during care. Our team will review your health history, treatment needs, and comfort level before recommending the most appropriate option.

   Treatments used for: dental implants, gum grafting, periodontal surgery, bone grafting, guided tissue regeneration, and other periodontal procedures for anxious patients.
